Lake Shore Athletics

At Lake Shore, we believe a balance of academics and athletics creates a well-rounded student.  Students who participate in sports not only gain the benefits of living a healthy lifestyle, they also learn lessons about sportsmanship, leadership, teamwork, cooperation, respect, and knowing how to win and lose.

Within this website, you will get updated information on the athletic department which includes coach contacts, game and/or practice schedules, team information, cancellations, awards, historical data, rules and regulations, and more!

Lake Shore vs Cass Tech Lacrosse Highlights

Lacrosse is the fastest game to be played on two feet. And although our Shorians have speed, they fell short to Cass Tech with a final score of 3-6. The difference between ordinary and extraordinary is practice, learning from mistakes, and continuing to build this first-year program. Now that the season is over, we have a chance to evaluate the program, determining drivers of success and potential growth. Thank you, coaches and players, for helping us plan, implement, and grow this sport. We look forward to a promising Lacrosse future.

Lake Shore Baseball Plays at Comerica

Fill your life with experiences, not things. End with having stories to tell, not stuff to show. On April 27th our Baseball team played at Comerica Park, and experienced an unwanted loss, but were given memories that will last a lifetime. To play on the field where so many greats have played was a blessing.

A Win Dedicated to St. Baldrick's

It was a win shared by everyone during Shorian Week, a week dedicated to St. Baldrick’s and all kids battling cancer.

Honorary captain for Friday’s football game, Matthew Nyenhuis, is just 2 years old and battling Acute Myeloid Leukemia. He has gone through numerous treatments since diagnosis this past November. A Shorian is brave, strong, and kind; We knew that by outfitting Matthew with our jersey, he may feel those traits both inside and outside.

Congratulations to our entire football team for securing another victory with a final score of 58-14.
