Featured Story: A More Focused School Day Starts This Fall

In accordance with state law, beginning with the 2026-27 school year, Lake Shore Public Schools will implement a phone-free school day at all Lake Shore Public Schools.
Under the revised policy, personal communication devices, including cell phones, must be turned off or silenced and kept out of sight throughout the school day—including during passing time and lunch unless an approved exemption applies.
This change is designed to create more focused learning environments, strengthen student engagement, encourage meaningful peer interactions, and support student well-being throughout the school day.
